Child Safety Standards

ThingSong is a singing-contest app published by Multiply Technologies LLC DBA ThingSong ("ThingSong", "we", "us"). ThingSong has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), anywhere in the app or on thingsong.com. These standards apply to everyone who uses ThingSong, and to everything they upload, post or send.
1. What's prohibited
- Child sexual abuse material of any kind, including drawn, edited or AI-generated imagery, and links to it.
- Sexualizing a minor in any way, including in a performance, a song's lyrics, a giveaway, a stage name or a message.
- Grooming, or contacting a minor for a sexual purpose, including asking for images or arranging to meet.
- Sextortion, trafficking, and any other exploitation of a child.
ThingSong accounts are for adults (18 and over). Everything on ThingSong must also meet our family-friendly standard in the Terms of Service, which rules out sexual content of any kind.
2. How we prevent it
Every performance and giveaway is checked before it's published. Uploads are compared against databases of known child sexual abuse material and screened by automated tools, and our team reviews them. People can report anything they see in the app, and our team reviews every report.
3. What we do when we find it
We take it down at once and stop the account from posting, keep a secure copy as the law requires, and report apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through its CyberTipline, as US law requires. We ban accounts that break these standards, and we cooperate with law enforcement.
4. How to report
- In the app: tap Report on any performance or contest.
- By email: hello@thingsong.com. Please don't attach or forward the images or videos themselves; a link or description is enough.
- If a child is in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency number.
- You can also report directly to NCMEC at report.cybertip.org or 1-800-843-5678, or in Canada to Cybertip.ca.
