Delete Your Account or Data
Last updated: October 1, 2026
This page explains how to delete your account in ThingSong, the singing-contest app by Multiply Technologies LLC DBA ThingSong ("ThingSong", "we", "us"), or to delete some of your data and keep your account.
Delete your account
In the app
- Open ThingSong and sign in.
- Tap the person icon at the top right to open Account.
- Tap Delete my account, then Yes, delete everything.
Without the app
Email hello@thingsong.com and ask us to delete your account. Send it from the email address you sign in with, or include the cell number you sign in with. We'll check that the account is yours, delete it, and tell you when it's done.
Delete some of your data
You can delete some of your data and keep your account:
- Your stage name: change it in Account.
- A contest you're giving away: open it in the app and tap Cancel this contest. Its photos and video are deleted. Once the first song is in, only we can end it, so email us.
- A performance: email us which one, and we'll take it down.
- Texts about your entries and giveaways: turn them off in Account, or reply STOP to any text.
- Waitlist or invitation details: email us to remove your email address or cell number.
- Anything else: email hello@thingsong.com to ask for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete it.
What's deleted and what's kept
When you delete your account:
- We delete your email address, cell number and stage name from your account, your sign-in sessions, the users you blocked, your notification tokens, Inbox and contest follows, the contact details on any prize claim, and the performance videos ThingSong stores.
- We keep anonymous placeholders for your entries, votes, judge scores and reports, with no name or email attached, so contest counts and past results stay accurate. Your entries are withdrawn from any contest still in progress.
- We keep records of the entry terms you accepted, including the email address used, because they document the license for performances that were published.
- Performances already published on YouTube stay published under the license you granted when you entered. Email us if you have a concern about a specific video.
- We keep what the law requires, for example prize and tax records.
The Privacy Policy has the details.
